šŸ’˜ $499/Month to Be Matched With the ā€˜Most Sought Afterā€™ Profiles on Tinder

Tinder has launched a new premium membership called ā€œTinder Selectā€ for a whopping $499 per month.

But itā€™s not just about the money, itā€™s about the exclusivity. This exclusive membership is only available to less than 1% of users.

But what do you get for your hard-earned cash?

Well, you can message others without matching (but only twice a week), your profile will be shown unblurred in the Like You grid, and youā€™ll be shown to Tinderā€™s ā€œmost sought-after profilesā€.

Inspiration for this members-only club within Tinder comes from another high-end dating app, The League, which was acquired by Match in July 2022.

The League which could cost users up to $1,000 per week indicated there was a market for daters who were willing to pay for high-quality matches and experiences.

šŸ¤‘ You Can Now Make Some Cash From Your Reddit Addiction

Reddit has launched a contributor program that allows users to convert their Reddit gold and karma into real money.

Your earnings depend on your karma. For users with between 100 and 4,999 karma, they will receive $0.90 per 1 gold. Once you earn more than 5,000 karma, you can earn $1 per gold.

To withdraw money, redditors need to earn at least 10 gold.

Reddit is also changing its system for awarding gold. Now, you can long-press the upvote icon in the app, or hover over it on your desktop, to buy gold.

Prices start at $1.99 for one gold and go up to $49.00 for 25 gold. So, if top users earn $1.00 per gold, Reddit retains around 50% of the payment.

The program is currently limited to US users who are over 18 and can verify their identity. Accounts must have existed for over 30 days, and only safe-for-work posts can be monetized.

šŸ“± Walmart-Backed PhonePe Challenges Google With Zero-Fee App Store

How do you take on a tech titan? Simple, you make your platform free!

PhonePe, a fintech backed by the retail giant Walmart, has just launched the Indus Appstore Developer Platform, offering zero platform fees and no commissions on in-app purchases.

That is a pretty sweet deal compared to Googleā€™s 15-30% take rate.

The platform is aimed at attracting Android developers in India, with features such as support for third-party payment providers and 12 Indian languages.

PhonePe hopes that its locally relevant features and support for developers will provide a credible alternative to the Google Play Store.

The platform is currently open for developers to register and upload their apps.
