đź’Ľ 18% of Employees Worldwide Resort to 'Loud Quitting

You've heard of quiet quitting, but what about loud quitting?

According to a recent report by Gallup, 18% of employees worldwide are “loud quitting” their jobs. This means they are actively disengaged at work, as opposed to “quiet quitters” who simply stop engagging.

This entails taking actions that "directly harm the organization, undercutting its goals and opposing its leaders". They're detached from the organization, but also emotionally against the organization, and they'll be vocal about it.

What makes someone a loud quitter? Mostly bad management, says Gallup. If your boss doesn’t care about you, your skills, your goals, or your feedback, you’re more likely to become disengaged and disgruntled.

🚀 YouTube's New "Test & Compare" Feature

YouTube is testing a new feature called “Test & Compare”.

This lets creators upload up to three thumbnails for a single video and let YouTube experiment behind the scenes to see which one performs the best. The functionality, often known as A/B testing, has been a “top requested feature” by its users.

YouTube says it’s currently testing the feature with “a few hundred creators,” but plans to roll out a beta version in the coming months to thousands more ahead of a broader launch next year.

A video’s thumbnail plays a vital role in drawing in viewers, meaning there’s pressure to make it as appealing as possible.

Over the years, third-party tools have popped up that advertise letting users A/B test YouTube thumbnails, and creators have even polled their Twitter followers to try and work out which image might perform better.

🕵️‍♂️ Former Samsung Executive Accused of Stealing Trade Secrets for Foxconn's China Chip Factory

A former Samsung executive, Choi Jinseog allegedly stole trade secrets from Samsung’s supplier network to help his new client, Foxconn, set up a chip factory in China.

He is said to have caused more than $200 million in damages to Samsung Electronics.

Choi denies all the charges and his lawyer argues that the alleged stolen information is not exclusive to Samsung and can be obtained through public engineering standards and satellite images.

Foxconn responded to the allegations by stating that it abides by laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where it operates.

The case continues to attract attention due to its potential impact on the competitive landscape of the chip industry and the allegations of technology leaks to China.
