🕵️‍♂️ Mozilla’s Fake Review Detector: Fakespot Chat

Mozilla’s new AI chatbot, Fakespot Chat, is here to help you navigate the murky waters of online reviews.

This tool, which uses AI to identify fake reviews, was developed after Mozilla acquired startup Fakespot. The chatbot can answer product-related questions and suggest useful queries.

Despite the irony of using AI to combat AI-generated fake reviews, Fakespot aims to make online shopping more trustworthy.

The chatbot, currently in testing, sorts through product reviews to provide real information. It’s available via Fakespot Analyzer or as a browser extension for Amazon.

💊 Prime Members Can Now Get a One Medical Membership for $9/Month

Amazon Prime members can now access One Medical healthcare services for $9/month or $99/year, a significant discount from the original $199/year.

With this membership, you get 24/7 virtual care and in-person visits all across the U.S. You also get access to the One Medical app with features like prescription management and appointment reminders.

Prime members can now share this benefit with family and friends, adding up to five additional memberships at $6/month or $66/year each.

This fantastic offer comes on the heels of Amazon’s acquisition of One Medical earlier this year. And despite the FTC raising an eyebrow at the $3.9 billion deal, it wasn’t blocked.

🏠 Proptech Startup Zeus Living, Backed by Airbnb, Reportedly Shuts Down

Zeus Living, a prop-tech startup that was backed by Airbnb, is closing its doors.

The company, which got $150 million from investors, started by making homes look nice and renting them to people who moved for work. It then tried to offer more choices for people who wanted to live anywhere.

Last year, Zeus got another $55 million to buy more homes, taking advantage of the work-from-home craze.

But things went downhill when interest rates went up, making homes more costly and hurting Zeus’s income.

The company recently informed landlords of its financial struggles and inability to make payments on homes.

Meanwhile, another startup, Anyplace, is doing well in the same market, having just raised $8.27 million in Series B funding.
