Plus: 👀 The ‘incognito mode’ lawsuit, 💵 TikTok's game changing payout

💰 Disney-Owned ESPN Strikes $1.5 Billion Partnership with Online Betting Giant Penn Entertainment

ESPN, which is owned by Disney, has partnered with Penn Entertainment, a company that runs online sports betting platforms.

ESPN will get $1.5 billion in fees and a chance to buy some shares of Penn Entertainment.

This deal is supposed to help ESPN survive the changes in the TV industry, as more people cut the cord and watch sports online.

But it also means that ESPN is entering a risky and controversial market, where gambling addiction and fraud are serious issues.

So what does this mean for Disney? Could this big bet on online sports gambling affect its brand image and reputation, especially among parents and kids? Or is it just a smart move to diversify its revenue streams and reach new audiences?

👀 Why Incognito Mode in Chrome Isn't as Private as You Thought

Do you think using Incognito mode in Chrome makes you invisible online? Think again.

According to a recent lawsuit, Google has been secretly tracking your every move, even when you’re supposed to be anonymous.

The lawsuit claims that Google’s cookies, analytics, and apps continued to track internet browsing activity even after users activated Incognito mode Chrome or similar features like Safari’s private browsing.

A judge in California just rejected Google’s attempt to dismiss the case.

The judge pointed out that Google stores users’ regular and private browsing data in the same logs, uses those logs to send personalized ads, and can use aggregated data to uniquely identify a user with a high probability of success.

The lawsuit, filed in 2020, seeks at least $5 billion in damages.

💵 Earning Big on TikTok: How the New Beta Program is Changing the Game

TikTok’s new beta program has impressed everyone with its first payout.

Many have claimed to make a few thousand dollars per month from it, but one influencer duo with 3.5 million followers has claimed to have earned over $87k in July.

The Creativity Program Beta rewards creators for longer content, specifically videos over 60 seconds.

The platform has a Creator Fund for videos of any length, an ad-revenue-sharing program, livestream gifts, an e-commerce-affiliate feature, and a $6 million fund for augmented-related creators.

The creativity program was initially an invite-only program but expanded to include all US-based creators with at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 authentic views in the last 30 days.

Participants must also be at least 18 years old and have accounts in good standing.

With this new program rolling out, many creators will re-prioritize making TikTok videos instead of posting on other platforms.
