🎮 The New AI Weapon in Call of Duty's Battle Against Toxic Trolls

Call of Duty has a new weapon to fight back against toxic trolls.

ToxMod is an AI tool that can detect and flag any nasty or abusive language in voice chat.

Modulate, the company that made ToxMod uses machine learning to identify words and phrases that are discriminatory or harassing. It can also tell the difference between friendly banter and malicious insults.

Activision’s chief technology officer Michael Vance said it would help make the game “a fun, fair, and welcoming experience for all players.”

Toxic voice chat has long been a problem for online video games, with women and minorities particularly targeted.

The tool has been added to Call of Duty’s Modern Warfare II and Warzone games so far, but only in the US for now. A full rollout will begin when the next installment, Modern Warfare III, launches on 10 November.

đź’¬ The Return of Clubhouse: Can 'Chats' Make You Reconsider the App?

Remember Clubhouse? The app that lets you join live audio conversations with strangers and celebrities? The app that was all the rage, but then faded into obscurity?

Well, guess what?

They’re trying to make a comeback!

Clubhouse has launched “the new Clubhouse”, which features a new format called “chats”. These chats are like voice messages on steroids. You can send them to your friends or friends of friends, and they will appear like Instagram stories. You can also see the transcripts of the messages, in case you prefer reading over listening.

Chats are supposed to be more fun and casual than live rooms, and less annoying than text messages. They are also a way for Clubhouse to revive its popularity and relevance, after a series of setbacks and layoffs.

Clubhouse says it still has money and time to make it work, but the question is: do you still care? Do you still want to talk to random people on the internet, or have you moved on to other things?

So, if you’re feeling nostalgic for Clubhouse, or curious about what it has to offer, now might be the time to give it another chance!

🎶 Coca-Cola is Building Its Own Music Studio

Coca-Cola believes in music in ads so much it is growing its own studio to record original songs.

With Coke Studio, the beverage giant wants to move beyond just working with artists for advertising by creating original songs from various artists with a range of backgrounds.

The program has grown since it launched in 2022, and this year, 19 different artists will work on collaborations to create roughly 25 songs.

The company is making a “significant investment in music” and hopes that by adding to music culture and investing in real artists, the value exchange will go beyond the transaction.

So, next time you hear a catchy tune, it might just be from Coke Studio!
